Jennifer Bang M.S.Ed.

I am a professional counselor with a combined total of eight years experience in the field of mental health. My background consists of providing individual counseling with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of issues including difficulties with anger, anxiety, self-esteem, and depression. I have specialized in crisis intervention, and have extensive experience working with those diagnosed with Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism, Bipolar, Adjustment Disorders, Reactive Attachment Disorder, and Depression. I have had additional trainings in suicide and self-mutilation behaviors. I am a graduate of Quincy University, receiving my Bachelor degree in Psychology and my Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral/Rational-Emotive, and strength-focused. I will work with you to help you identify and implement the skills to manage and overcome your symptoms. I am currently seeking National Counselor Certification and Illinois Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensure. I am ready to offer you support with reaching your goals to a better self.
